As creative professionals, we’re always on the lookout for ways to streamline our workflows and inject more efficiency into our projects. I created a ComfyUI workflow that will take any image you give it and prep it to the right banner size.

Building the Workflow

For a recent ComfyUI workflow contest, I designed a system that automates the creation of banners. This workflow takes any image you choose as a background and uses Stable Diffusion to intelligently "out paint" the image, extending it to the required dimensions for any banner size. This method ensures that the end product is not only aesthetically pleasing but perfectly sized.

How It Works

The core of this workflow revolves around several key functions:

• Image Selection: Start with any image that you want as your banner background.

• Custom Nodes: Utilize custom nodes within ComfyUI to set target sizes. This includes a dropdown of common banner dimensions, streamlining the design process.

• AI-Powered Expansion: The chosen image is expanded using an inpainting model to fit the desired banner size without distorting the original composition.

• Fine-Tuning: Adjustments are made for edge blurs and other elements to ensure the expanded areas blend seamlessly with the original image.
